Join us as knowledge keeper Semakwe (Kathy MacLeod Beaver) from Alderville First Nations shares traditional teachings about the “heart berry”—ode’imin in Anishinaabemowin.
A beautiful evening of learning, connection and celebration. Dessert + concession will be open.

Kathy MacLeod-Beaver is a proud member of the Mississaugas of Rice Lake, Alderville First Nation, and belongs to the Bear Clan. She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and auntie.
With over 30 years of experience in Indigenous health, Kathy is passionate about creating culturally safe, equitable access to care for Indigenous people. She believes Indigenous culture holds all the knowledge needed to guide us through life.
