Our storefront is OPEN. We will be following all protocols to ensure the safety of our employees and our customers. 3 customers will be allowed in the store at a time. Customers will be asked to follow all social distancing measures within the store. There will be a sanitation station for customers as they enter the store, and we will be asking that everyone sanitizes before they enter. Our employees will be keeping the tills, counters and debit machines clean and sanitized at all times. Employees will be wiping down the till area after every customer encounter. Plexiglass has been installed at our tills to protect our employees and our customers. Curd will be placed behind the till and it will be priced at set prices.This is to limit contact. The washroom will not be accessible to the public. We will not be scooping ice cream cones at this time. There will be 1L tubs available to purchase. We will not be accepting re-usable bags or cheese returns. We will be accepting cash but we encourage customers to pay with debit or credit for limited contact.
Empire Cheese Co-op — Northumberland's only “Cheese Producing” plant is open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday 9:00am to 5:00pm. All ages of cheddar available from extra to mild to 5 year-old at our outlet store. A variety of specialty cheeses and fresh curd 6 days per week.
